- Your recipes, specs, costs and invoices belong to you. We never sell them or use them to train AI.
- Misé support can't see inside your workspace unless its Owner turns on Support access. It's read-only, switches off on its own, and every visit is listed for the Owner.
- Misé itself (the app, its design and its features) belongs to us. You can use it, but not copy it or build a competing product from it.
- Misé is in beta. Check important numbers before you rely on them.
1. Who we are and what this covers
Misé is a web app for running a cocktail program: specs, prep, inventory, costing and team tools. It is provided by Blake Bovaird, doing business as Misé ("Misé," "we"). By creating an account or using Misé, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use Misé for a bar or restaurant, you confirm you're allowed to agree on its behalf.
2. Accounts and beta access
- You need an account to use Misé, and during the beta we approve new accounts by hand.
- Keep your login private. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- You must be at least 18, or of legal drinking age where you work if that is higher.
3. Workspaces and roles
- A personal workspace is yours alone and free.
- A venue workspace belongs to the bar or restaurant that created it. Its Owner controls who is on the team and what role each person has (Owner, Manager or Bartender).
- When someone leaves the team or is removed, they lose access to that workspace. What they added stays with the venue.
4. Your data belongs to you
Your recipes, specs, prep lists, costs, invoices, photos and everything else you put in Misé ("Your Content") belong to you or your venue. We don't claim any ownership of it.
You give us permission to store, process and display Your Content only as needed to run Misé for you, for example to save it, show it to your team, cost your drinks or read an invoice you upload. We will not:
- sell Your Content or share it with other venues or customers
- use it to advertise to you or anyone else
- use it to train AI models, or let our service providers do so
We may use anonymous, aggregated usage numbers (such as how many recipes are created each week) to improve Misé. These never identify you, your venue or your recipes.
5. Support access to your workspace
Misé staff can't see inside your venue's workspace by default. If you want help, the workspace Owner can turn on Support access from the workspace's Team screen:
- The Owner picks how long it stays on: 24 hours or 7 days.
- While it's on, Misé support can view the workspace to find and fix a problem. Support access is read-only: we can't add, change or delete anything.
- It switches off automatically when the time runs out, and the Owner can switch it off sooner at any time.
- Every time support opens your workspace, it's logged. The Owner can see the date and time of each visit on the same screen.
Emergency access
As the operator of the service, we can technically reach any data stored in Misé. We will only access a workspace without Support access turned on if:
- the law requires it
- it's needed to stop or investigate a security incident, abuse or a threat to the service
- you ask us to recover or restore data and can't turn on Support access yourself
If we do, we'll tell the workspace Owner what we accessed and why within 3 business days, unless the law prevents us.
6. Plans, trials and billing
- Personal workspaces are free.
- Venue workspaces start with a free trial of 30 days. After that they need a paid plan, billed monthly or yearly in advance at the prices shown when you subscribe.
- If a payment fails or a trial ends without a plan, the workspace becomes read-only. Your data stays, and nothing is deleted for at least 90 days.
- You can cancel any time. The plan runs to the end of the period you've paid for, and we don't refund partial periods unless the law requires it.
- We'll give at least 30 days' notice by email before a price change affects you.
7. Misé belongs to us
Misé, including its software, code, design, layout, features, workflows, text, guides and branding, is owned by Blake Bovaird (doing business as Misé) and protected by copyright and other laws. These Terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use Misé for your own bar program while your account is active. They don't give you any ownership of it.
You agree not to:
- copy, download, reproduce or redistribute Misé's code, design or content, except Your Content
- reverse engineer, decompile, scrape or try to extract its source code
- use Misé, or anything learned from inside it, to build, design or train a competing product
- resell, sublicense or give anyone else access through your login
- remove or hide any Misé branding or ownership notices
If you do, we can suspend or close your account immediately and take any legal action available to us.
8. Using Misé fairly
Don't use Misé to break the law, upload content you don't have the right to use, try to reach other people's data, or overload or attack the service. We may suspend an account that does, and we'll tell you why unless that would make things worse.
9. Beta, availability and liability
- Misé is in beta. We work to keep it running and your data safe, but it's provided "as is" and may have bugs or downtime.
- Costing, pour cost and margin figures are tools to help you decide, based on the numbers you enter. Check anything important before you rely on it.
- To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you haven't paid anything. We're not liable for lost profits or indirect losses.
10. Leaving Misé
You can ask for a copy of your data or close your account at any time by contacting us in the app under Account → Contact Support. When a venue workspace is closed, we delete its content within 30 days, except copies in backups, which expire on their normal schedule.
11. Changes and governing law
- If we change these Terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app at least 14 days before the change. You'll be asked to accept the new version the next time you open Misé.
- These Terms are governed by the laws of Louisiana. Any dispute goes to the courts of Orleans Parish, Louisiana.
